Business Relationship Techniques



Encouraged Finance Director to use different management techniques when working with a Board Room ‘enemy’ resulting in uniquely beneficial Board Level relationship.

Difference experienced:

When talking to this Director I was  conscious of how he had become locked into a power play with a colleague. I encouraged him to invite this Director to be his mentor, a suggestion which although highly challenging led to a successful working relationship which was valued on both sides. By making alliances, he was able to find common ground and avoid using power for power’s sake. The resulting relationship used power constructively to the benefit of all.

When working with this client in his next role I observed how invaluable these skills were in an even more political environment
